Equipment

For your safety and comfort, at Red Rock Guiding Service, you
will be fishing from a Lund PRO-V 2025 Magnum professional fishing boat, equipped
with Evinrude, Honda, and Minn Kota motors and Lowrance electronics. We also
utilize the Aqua View underwater camera to help you enjoy your day on the water.
Our boat is annually inspected and meets all U. S. C. G. requirements. Walt is a licensed Coast Guard
Master Captain (License #1197897) and all necessary safety equipment is
also provided as you board for your trip.
We primarily use graphite spinning rods fitted with Shimano open face spinning
reels and 6-8 pound Trilene line.

Fish Local |
|
“Fish local bodies of
water for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, northern pike, and
panfish.” |
|
Your trip with Red Rock Guiding Service begins when we meet at
the boat launch area. The boat will already be in the water, ready for our
outing. We will transfer your belongings on board, review safety procedures, and
head out to our first fishing spot. |
Once we arrive at our first location, I will explain and
demonstrate the fishing technique we will be using. I will coach you on the
fishing technique and assist you with the handling of your catch. Our goal for
each client on every trip is to teach you new techniques and help you catch
fish. Depending on the time of year and target species, we may fish with either
artificial bait or live bait or both. This process will repeat, as we move about
from spot to spot.
On your full-day trip we can stop for lunch, have our lunch
onboard, or fish straight through. The choice is yours. We can take a rest stop
anytime it is needed. At days end, we will head back to the dock, unload
your belongings, and part company until the next time you fish with us.
Red Rock Guiding Service does practice CPR fishing (catch,
photo, release) on game fish and selective harvest on other species. Conservation of scarce resources and selective
harvest are necessary to ensure the future of fishing on our heavily pressured,
local area lakes.
We do fish in all types of weather, except for thunderstorms,
lightning, and extreme winds. Safety must prevail.
During your fishing trip we provide:
-
Lund Pro-V Magnum 2025 professional fishing boat, including
gas and oil
-
Quality graphite fishing rods and open face spinning reels
-
All terminal tackle and required safety equipment
-
All artificial and live baits. There is a slight extra charge
